| Tim Shaw explores aspects of macho culture, drawing visually from certain periods in cultural history - in particular 1890s fine art posters, 60s collage and pop-art, and present day figures from men's magazines. His work contains a hybrid of icons, brands and aesthetic styles from all of these. Intricately hand cut collages give the effect of a bold fine art print, yet are sculptural and unique when viewed up close. |
